White Avens - Geum canadense

Native to all New England States.  This perennial is short lived although it will self seed easily.

It makes a nice ground cover that can be mowed.  Use to prevent erosion, understory for trees or shrubs. Can safely be planted under black walnut trees.

Not Deer Resistant: use deer resistant and repelling companion plants

Prefers: Part Sun to Shade, medium moist to medium dry soil.  

Blooms stunning dainty white flowers  from May- July  Grows to 2ft High

Benefits:  Attracts butterflies, Nectar source
