Garden Consults and Design Package

Package # 1 Native Garden Consultation  (for those that just need some guidance to get started) Consultation and written consult report $150 (1hr consult) $275(2hr consult)

A one or two hour consultation is perfect for DIYers and those looking for broad garden ideas, help with developing priorities, evaluate the overall health and success of their landscape,  determine soil and light conditions, or to establish a maintenance plan for their property. 

Start with an initial phone call to discuss your questions, garden goals and ideas. Then determine whether a one or two hour meeting is more appropriate. 

A one hour consultation is enough to develop basic garden concepts for a smaller yard, one or two distinct areas, or to create a maintenance plan for your property, while two hours (or more) is better suited for visioning new garden concepts for an entire property, or to develop more complex garden ideas.

During the onsite meeting I will discuss garden concepts and your goals, assess plant health, identify invasives, and analyze site conditions and challenges.

After the consultation you will receive a written report addressing your areas of concern, which can include site analysis, maintenance recommendations, infrastructure improvements, invasive species mitigation strategies, garden placement and plant recommendations based on site conditions( always put the right plant in the right place for optimal results).

This document can be used to guide your garden project implementation and support DIY maintenance work.

Package Native Garden Design Package #2   $600 -1500 (based on # and size of each garden)  Consultation, report and customized garden design(s)

Start with an initial phone call to discuss your questions, design goals and ideas.

Then a garden design package will include a 2  hour onsite in-person consultation.

What to expect: I will work with you to develop your design goals and clarify concepts.  As we walk your property the site conditions and challenges will be analyzed, take 1 soil sample for each garden area, assess existing plant health and quality, invasive mitigation strategies, and review placement of garden(s)  and develop a customized design for your area such as a : front foundation planting,backyard patio enhancement, etc.

Following the consultation you will receive a  garden design concept, with a detailed planting

plan, plant and materials list, scope of work and installation estimate. This package also

includes a follow up phone call to discuss the project and answer questions, and one design revision. 

Any subsequent design revisions or major changes to the scope will be billed at our design rate of $125/hour.

The cost of installation of designs of this size vary based on scope, site challenges, andplant selection & size or plants - tend to fall in a range from $4,500-10,000. I am happy to accommodate your budget, and a knowledgeable home gardener could use the design materials to self-install their garden for savings on labor. I offer plant and material sourcing and delivery if such support is desired for DIYers.
