Desmodium canadense (Showy Tick Trefoil) Native

Clusters of pink or rose-purple pea-like flowers that bloom along the plant’s upper stems for about three weeks in mid-summer(July-Aug). For the best effect start by planting in in colonies rather than isolated plants and tight plantings can help counter a tendency to spread

Benefits:  Desmodium canadense  it is a (legume), which adds soil nitrogen.  The nectar, pollen, seeds and foliage of this species appeal 

It is a perennial, that grows to 2-6 ft. high, it prefers Medium-Wet, Medium, Medium-Dry Soil, Full or Part Shade, Plant spacing 12" apart.  

Plants will be available when we open our nursery for the season on Sunday, June 23rd 10am- 2pm  for the month of June we will be open for in person shopping only on Sundays.
