Elderberry-Sambucus canadensis

Native Perennial Shrub -Blooms in June-August with lacey like white clusters that have a light citrus scent.  Pollinators love the flowers.  The flowers are followed by burgundy berries that darken when ripe.  The foliage turns yellow in the fall.

Prefers: Full sun to part shade, Medium Moist to Medium Dry Soil, well drained

Grows up to 10ft high, provides shelter for nesting birds, bountiful fruits for birds. 

Leaves are toxic so rarely browsed by mammals
