Blue Sage - Salvia azurea

Native Hardy Perennial Plant with Blue blossoms that tower over gray-green foliage from  August - September.   Grows up to 5ft high

It will flop over if the soil is too rich.  Avoid fertilizer unless it is surrounded by other tall sturdy plants.

Prefers: Full Sun to Part Shade, Medium to Medium Dry to Dry Soil

 Benefits: It is nectar rich which attracts many bees and butterflies. Larval Host to the Hermit Sphinx Moth  

Its scent is pleasant to humans,  although it repels rabbits & deer
