Sensitive fern - Onoclea sensibilis

Native to all NE States, Perennial Fern, Also known as bead fern-  it is easy to recognize by its unique fronds and stem.  Grows to 1- 2ft High plant 1" apart  Non-flowering.   Extremely sensitive to frost

Grows wild on my property, where I harvest it.

Prefers:  Sun to Part shade to shade, rich moist soil that is well drained 

Benefits: Provides shelter for amphibians 

              Ornamental great in home gardens

Attracts birds      Deer Resistant       Pairs well with wild geranium
