Nannyberry - Viburnum lentago

Native Large Deciduous Shrub with Clusters of white fragrant flowers that bloom in May. Summer foliage is a shiny dark green has with serrated edges.  Fall foliage is dark red. It has blue-black berries which last through winter. Mature height 8-18’ and 6-12′ wide.  Having a single plant will still produce fruit, although 2 or more will produce more fruit on each shrub.

Prefers: FS (helps avoid powdery mildew) /PS with moist soil, can tolerate dry soil once established. Can be used as a hedge. 

Benefits: attracts pollinators and birds. Wildlife food in winter.
