Yellow blooms grace the tops of these very tall plants from July, August, September,October. Reseeds easily. Fast Growing
Prefers: Full sun to Part Sun, Medium-Wet to Dry Soil, grows 4 to 6 ft in Height
Benefits: Provides food late into the fall while other flowers have already passed.
moths, butterflies, caterpillars and many kinds of bees. Birds eat the seeds , especially gold finches.
Larval Host Plant: Primrose Moth larvae feed on the flowers & seeds, while the Adult Moth pollinates and rests on the flowers. (see picture below)
Germinating from seed:(No pretreatment needed) Seeds germinate in cool soil, best to plant fall/early winter, seeds are very small, place on soil and press into the soil add a light dusting to barely cover the seeds.
