Eastern White Pine Tree (Pinus strobus)

Native Evergreen fast-growing and long-lived. Evergreen Tree 2-3 ft per year. A 2ft tall potted White Pine tree can be over 12 ft tall in 5 years, in good soil, with adequate moisture.  Ecologically, wild harvested on my property.

A tree for landscapes with ample space. It has fine feathery needles, open canopy, and straight trunk and becomes more picturesque with age. 

Intolerant of urban pollution, therefore inner city or urban streetside plantings are best avoided, and will benefit from being planted in a relatively sheltered location. This species is native to parts of North America.

Prefers: Full Sun to Part Sun , dry - Moist well drained  Acidic soil(does not tolerate standing water)

Benefits: Provides shelter for wildlife.  Host Plant: Eastern Pine Elfin Butterfly. Birds, squirrels and deer feed on the seeds.
