Native to All New England States Semi-Evergreen Perennial , Spreads easily, Dense Growth with Height to 12 inches, fibrous root system that effectively binds the soil, and to help prevent erosion , keep weeds at bay, fill in empty areas of established plants as a groundcover, living mulch
Prefers: Partial Sun, Shade, Wet, to Medium-Dry Soil in Full sun it needs wet-moist soil
Attracts: Butterflies, Pollinators, Songbirds
Small clumps will eventually spread, topped by interesting seed heads that sit atop short spikes, adding texture.
Plant it along a pond, stream bank, or woodland edge pathway or beneath canopy trees such as Sugar Maple, Shagbark Hickory, Oaks, and Dogwood to act as a living mulch.
