Partridge Pea - Chamaecrista fasciculata

Native Annual to MA, CT, RI, ME  Yellow flowers with red stamens from July-September, prefers full to part sun, medium to dry soil.  Self seeds easily.

Benefits: A summer favorite of pollinators and birds.  Larval host for the Little Yellow, Sleepy Orange and Orange Sulfur butterflies.   Provides nectar for Bumble & Native bees, butterflies & ants. Soil nitrogen fixer.

Used in IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Supports Conservation Biological Control (A plant that attracts predatory or parasitoid insects that prey upon pest insects.)
