Pale Beardtongue - (Penstemon pallidus)

Native Ma Perennial  Its White blooms appear May, June, July earlier  than other Penstemons. The whole plant is covered with soft white hairs. Grows to 12"

Prefers: Full to Part Sun, Med-Dry rocky, gravel or sandy soils.  Benefits: The tubular flowers are favorites of long-tongued bees such as bumblebees, carpenter bees, and mason bees.  

Deer and rabbits generally do not show much interest in Penstemon species.
