Has a striking lavender, pink or white blossom that blooms from July to September. Also commonly called Bee Balm or Horse-Mint, Native to most of North America, which have a tube-like structure appear from July through September, Clusters bloom atop 2-5 ft., The leaves have a minty scent

Food: Leaves boiled for tea, seasoning, chewed raw or dried; flowers edible.
Medicinal: indigenous people used leaf tea for many ailments.
Other: The fragrant leaves can be used for perfume.
