Lance-leaf Coreopsis (Coreopsis lanceolata )

Non-Native Perennial - although found in many MA gardens. Lance-leaf Coreopsis blooms brightly in late spring and early summer (6/1 2 Qt just about ready to bloom)

Prefers:  Sun, even hot sites with dry, sandy or poor soil.  Height: 2ft 

The bright yellow, daisy-like flowers are about 1 1/2" in diameter and bloom on long stems. Promptly deadhead spent blooms to prolong the bloom period.  

Does well in a container on a deck as well as a garden.
