Joe Pye Weed - Eutrochium maculatum

Native to all New England States this Perennial is a very tall plant, up to 5- 6' that has pinkish-lavender blooms from July-September.  The strong eye catching(similar to bloom color)  stems rarely need to be staked. 

Prefers: full to almost-full sun, rich, moist acidic soils.  It will spread easily so should be planted with caution in small landscape situations.
