Bloodroot - Sanguinaria canadensis (2026)

Native (to all 6 NE States) Perennial Ephemeral with striking white flowers in early spring (March- April) when there is hardly anything blooming. When seen in the wild it will take your breath away.  It grows up to 2ft, 1 flower per stem.  

This plant takes 2 years to germinate from seed

Prefers: Part Shade to Shade, Moist well drained humus rich soil
