Black Cherry (Prunus serotina)

Native Perennial Deciduous Tree , White spring flowers followed by fruit and yellow autumn foliage. Fast Growing.  Grows in the wild abundantly on my property.  Many sizes available.

Prefers: Sun, Part Shade to Full Shade, Moist to dry soil well drained

Benefits: 33 species of birds and mammals eat its fruit.  Attracts birds and butterflies, native bees, bumble bees and honey bees. Larval host to: Eastern Tiger Swallowtail, Cherry Gall Azure, Viceroy, Columbia Silkmoth, Promethea Moth, Small-eyed Sphinx Moth, Wild Cherry Sphinx Moth, Banded Tussock Moth, Band-edged Prominent, Spotted Apatelodes.
