Low growing attractive ground cover 6" Height with heart shaped leaves which can be 6" in diameter.
Prefers: Shade to part shade with moist well drained soil made up of rich woodland humus.
It will keep its heart or kidney shaped foliage throughout the season. A dark red flower will bloom under the foliage in early spring but will fade fairly quickly.
Also deer-resistant.
Although unpalatable to deer and other mammals, many insects are attracted to Wild Ginger, including ants, believed to pollinate the plant.
