Non-Native Perennial (not on MA prohibited plant list) Showy Purple flowers open in the morning May-July 2-3ft H 

It spreads quickly so not ideal for a small garden- unless you pay close attention to and dead head- which also prolongs blooms( spreads by seed and slower by rhizomes)

Prefers Full to partial shade and medium to dry soil

Special value to : Native Bees and Bumble Bees, Nectars source attracts butterflies
